For many years, Apparound has been committed to supporting social initiatives by local associations. This year, the company has decided to renew its support for the Dream Volley project in Pisa, an association dedicated to providing participation opportunities in sports for athletes with motor disabilities, allowing them to play volleyball alongside their peers.
For young athletes, access to an environment of socialization, fun, and, no less important, competitiveness, represents a fundamental opportunity for personal growth, interaction, and social integration. However, these events are not limited to this: they also aim to promote a culture of collaboration and team spirit, core values that unite all Apparound employees.
For over ten years, Dream Volley has been dedicated to promoting sports, with a particular focus on social and inclusive aspects. Among its standout activities is Sitting Volley, a Paralympic discipline that brings together people with and without disabilities. This sport, played while sitting on the floor, does not require specific equipment and is promoted as an inclusive and enjoyable opportunity for all participants.
Five female athletes from the Dream Volley team participated in the Tokyo Paralympics. An impressive achievement, considering the association covers all activity costs: from training to tournament registration, including travel expenses. These efforts have been well rewarded, with the women's team boasting an impressive track record: 5 Italian Championships, 2 Italian Cups, one Super Cup, and one Champions League.
Dream Volley Pisa is preparing for a new and exciting chapter in its history. From June 27th to 30th, the team will participate in the prestigious Golden League, which will be held in Nottingham, England.
Good luck!
